Sweet Union
Fresh out of prison and anxious to escape her checkered past, Dixie Bailey must overcome old grudges, new challenges, and the stereotype of being an ex con. Her attempt to turn over a new leaf will be hampered by a sloppy parole officer, a Yankee psychiatrist, an 'old gang' that refuses to let her move on, and a sheriff who doesn't believe she can change. The only people Dixie can really depend on are her mother, two sisters and best friend. These women have shared friendships, hardships and melodrama--and survived it all. These are the women who bring all the tragedy, comedy and cleavage to Southern Gothic Lore. Dixie must create a new life for herself in the midst of this charming yet dysfunctional matriarchy. After all, you can get paroled from prison but you can't get paroled from your family.
